Teleproject

Monitoring only matters if the alarm reaches the right person in time.

Track-TP turns telemetry, SNMP traps, and status changes into alarms, classifies them by priority, and delivers them where your control room already works: Email, Telegram, WhatsApp, SNMP traps to your NMS, and real-time in-app notifications. Every alarm is tracked from creation to resolution.

How an alarm is raised

From measurement to alarm, with no manual steps.

It all starts with the threshold rule on the telemetry. For each device or sensor you set a condition using comparison operators, on numeric, text, or date values. Track-TP checks the condition on every new measurement.

Less than, less than or equal, equal, greater than or equal, greater than: the same rule covers critical thresholds, expected values, and deviations from a reference.

Manufacturer SNMP traps

Traps arriving on UDP port 162 are matched automatically to the manufacturers’ alarm tables, so a raw trap becomes a readable alarm.

State transitions

Every online-to-offline transition (and back) of a device raises an event, logged with a timestamp and evaluated as a possible alarm.

Sensor battery and signal

For LoRaWAN sensors, thresholds on battery level and signal quality raise a warning before the readings stop.

Per-channel events

On multi-channel devices such as radio repeaters, the alarm fires and clears per individual channel, not just for the device as a whole.

Priority and lifecycle

Every alarm has a priority, a history, and an owner.

Three priorities set the urgency, the tracked lifecycle shows what happened and when, and notification filters cut out useless alarms during transients and planned work.

Three priorities
  • informational

Events to log and keep an eye on, with no operational urgency.

  • warning

Situations to check before they escalate, with mid-level priority in the queue.

  • critical

Faults and service losses that call for immediate action.

Lifecycle
  1. 1
CreatedThe alarm appears in the queue with a timestamp, device, and priority.
  2. 2
UpdatedEvery status change is logged, with its exact moment.
  3. 3
ResolvedClosing records who resolved it, when, and why.

Accountability. Every closure is logged with the user and the reason, for after-the-fact reviews and reporting.

Fewer useless notifications
  • Notification delay

A per-device configurable delay prevents notifications for transient events that clear on their own.

  • Maintenance mode

During planned work you can mute a device, without losing visibility of what is happening.

Notification methods

The alarm arrives in five ways.

The same alarm can go out through several channels, from personal messages to forwarding to your NMS. Every notification carries the context: device, priority, and status.

  • EmailTemplate-based messages with the device and alarm detail. The subject and sender are configurable, to route messages into the right mailboxes.
  • TelegramA Track-TP bot delivers formatted messages to subscribed chats, ideal for on-call groups.
  • WhatsAppMessages based on approved templates, via the official Meta Cloud API, for both new and resolved alarms.
  • SNMP trap forwardingAlarms are re-sent as SNMP traps to your upstream NMS, with full context, so Track-TP fits into your existing supervision.
  • In-app, in real timeWebSocket notifications to anyone with Track-TP open, the instant the alarm fires, without reloading the page.
  • Notification time windowsEach user can receive notifications only during the time windows they set, for example during their on-call shift.
