A mission-critical radio network is not something you install and forget. Performance degrades quietly over time: water working its way into connectors, antennas drifting out of alignment, backup batteries that no longer deliver the autonomy they were sized for. These are defects that do not bring the system down the same day, but that all show up together on the day it really matters.
That is why maintenance here is built on measurements, not on visual inspections. The contract works on three fronts: scheduled preventive visits, on-site response to a fault within 24 h of the request, and H24 remote monitoring through our Track-TP platform. The checks follow the procedures of our ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system, with calibrated test instruments and a written report after every job.

How we keep an installation in working order.

Preventive maintenance
Visits planned in the calendar: we measure the operating parameters of equipment, antennas, lines, and power supplies, and correct anomalies before they turn into a fault.
Corrective maintenance
When a system fails, our technicians are on site within 24 h of the request, with teams on call H24 and spare parts for the critical equipment held in stock.
H24 remote monitoring
The systems are connected to the Track-TP platform: equipment status is checked continuously and the alarms reach our technicians as soon as an anomaly appears.

- Condition of batteries, chargers, and accessories

- Dispatch consoles, operator positions, and audio peripherals

Planning
We agree the visit calendar and the operating windows, so that the work never interferes with the running of the infrastructure.
- Step 02
Field measurements
Our technicians work through the check list site by site, recording the parameters with calibrated test instruments and comparing them with those of the previous visit.
- Step 03
Immediate fixes
Anything that can be put right on the spot is closed during the visit: retightening, replacement of connectors and gaskets, cleaning, recharging or replacing batteries.
- Step 04
Report and follow-up actions
We hand over a report with the measurements taken and the condition of the system. Work that needs spare parts or planned downtime is scheduled together with the customer.

The questions we hear most often about this service.
How often should preventive maintenance be carried out?
There is no single interval that fits every network: the calendar is built around how critical the system is, the environmental conditions at the sites, and the service the network has to guarantee, which changes considerably when Polizia Stradale, 118, and Vigili del Fuoco also communicate on that same network. A site inside a tunnel, exposed to humidity and dust, needs visits closer together than a site housed in an air-conditioned equipment room. We agree the annual visit plan with the customer and review it every year, based on what the previous visits found.
What does the maintenance contract cover and what is left out?
The contract sets out in writing the scope covered, the number of preventive visits, the response times for faults, the on-call windows, and the penalties. Damage caused by third parties or by exceptional events, extensions to the system, and the replacement of equipment that has reached end of life are normally left out: we quote for that work case by case. Setting these boundaries before signing avoids arguments at the very moment the system is down.
How do you take over a system installed by another company?
The contract starts with a survey visit. We inventory the equipment site by site, record the baseline parameters with calibrated instruments, and check what documentation exists, because on a system we did not build ourselves the up-to-date drawings are often missing. That visit gives us the real condition of the system, the list of work to be caught up on immediately, and the plan for the following visits. Any defect that affects coverage or safety is reported to the customer before signing.
What happens when a faulty unit is no longer in production?
On systems that have been in service for many years this happens often. We keep spare parts for the critical equipment of the systems we manage in our own stock, precisely so that we do not depend on what the manufacturer still has available. When a model can no longer be sourced we propose an equivalent unit and check first that it fits with the rest of the system: same frequencies, same programming, same alarms toward the control room. The replacement is then carried out in an operating window agreed with the customer.
