Solutions · Defense and military

In defense, a compromised communication puts the operation at risk. We design encrypted radio networks, dedicated and isolated from the public network.

We design, install, and maintain encrypted TETRA, DMR, and P25 radio networks and command-and-control systems for the defense and national security sector: over twenty years of experience in mission-critical communications, with the Respondr dispatch platform deployable on the customer’s own servers, AES-256 encryption, and compliance with ISA/IEC 62443-3-3 at Security Level 2.

The challenges

The three challenges of managing defense communications.

What a defense and security organization must guarantee on mission-critical radio networks.

  • End-to-end encrypted communications

AES-256 encryption for voice and data and TLS 1.3 for transport: radio and command communications stay protected across the entire chain, from the team in the field to the control room.

  • Dedicated networks isolated from the public network

Deployments on the customer’s own servers and dedicated infrastructure, with clear segmentation from public networks. The Respondr platform is designed to the ISA/IEC 62443-3-3 standard at Security Level 2 and in line with the NIS2 directive.

  • Resilience in critical scenarios

Automatic failover between network nodes, system redundancy, and independent microwave backhaul links off the public network: the service does not stop when operating conditions get tough.

Scenario · Dedicated network

What it takes to field an encrypted, dedicated radio network.

A concrete case: from supplying the radio terminals to recording communications, on a system isolated from the public network.

  1. The teams receive their radio terminals

We supply and program the field teams’ radio terminals in TETRA, DMR, and P25 technology. We are an authorized reseller for Motorola Solutions, Hytera, and Kenwood and the exclusive Funktronic distributor for Italy, and we integrate compatible equipment from other manufacturers.

  2. The radio network is installed across the territory

We design and install the dedicated radio network: TETRA, DMR, and P25 radio sites with VHF/UHF links and microwave backhaul links independent of the public network, to cover the operational area without relying on external infrastructure.

  3. The equipment stays isolated from the public network

The base stations and radio gateways are installed on dedicated infrastructure, with clear segmentation from public networks: the system is not reachable from the Internet and stays under the customer’s exclusive control.

  4. The control room coordinates from a single station

The operator works on the Respondr console, deployed on the customer’s servers: it brings TETRA, DMR, and P25 radio networks together in a single interface, with end-to-end AES-256 encryption, role-based access control, SSO integration, and traceability of every operator.

  5. The spectrum and communications stay monitored

TP-RFX continuously monitors the presence of the radio carriers and flags any degradation, while Respondr’s built-in recording system stores the communications: every call stays documented, with date, time, and channel, to reconstruct how each event was handled.

Products and services

The systems we deploy.

Each solution has its own in-depth page: here you’ll find only what it does in a defense and security context.

Interoperability

Our systems integrate with the equipment you already own.

No closed systems: we use open protocols, let different technologies coexist on the same equipment, and hold the certifications that public tenders require.

TETRA, DMR, and P25 on the same system

Respondr brings together TETRA, DMR, and P25 networks from different units and forces on a single console, preserving each one’s security levels, for joint operations.

Integration with the customer’s systems

Equipment states and alarms interface with the customer’s supervision platforms via SNMP, relay contacts, and APIs: the information reaches you where you already work.

Certifications and qualifications

Teleproject is an ISO 9001:2015 certified and SOA OS 19 qualified company. The Respondr and Track-TP platforms are designed in compliance with the NIS2 directive and the ISA/IEC 62443-3-3 standard.
